Day 15, and the fridge is looking much more airy.
What do eight borderline-soft carrots, six newly sprouting potatoes, half a bag of frozen peas, and an onion have in common?
They all go well with a couple cans of beef chunks and a double batch of buttermilk biscuits.
Yup. Beef stew, baby.
I’d have taken a better picture, but I was somewhat flustered–because my sixth grader just announced he needs–you guessed it–poster board.
Seriously?
The last hour of the last day of a two week vacation, and you just now remember you need poster board?
I so should have bought stock in that stuff twenty years ago.
And I’m SO not going to buy him some. We have a giant roll of painter’s paper. It’s green.
It will do–just like the potatoes.
