At what point should I stop plucking the silver/gray/white hair and start dying it?
And don’t bother suggesting the alternative, because I’m not going down without a fight…

I have a sister in law that was a brunette and has started graying heavily. She died her hair platinum blonde and it actually looks really good. As the gray starts growing back in on top, it ends up looking like it is highlighted until she gets it colored again. You are a blonde anyway right? So it wouldn’t be a far stretch for you.

Haha. I think it’s funny you think I’m blonde; never been accused of that one before! No, I’m pretty dark brown, honestly. In the summer I lighten up a little, but not much. That picture on vox is pretty deceptive I guess… I think it’s the lighting. If I were blonde, you probably wouldn’t see the grey!

Yes, pictures can be deceiving. The picture I use here was taken a couple of years ago and my hair was dyed blonde and was still long. I have since cut it all off and it is back to it’s natural dark brown. (My mother used to call it mousy brown. Thanks mom!) I have one gray hair. lol I won’t pull it because it’s nostalgic looking to me. lol

Hahaha! Nice. Yeah, I thought about that, too. I’m glad to see you moved over successfully!

I’m afraid for when I have to start dying mine—I don’t do well with maintenance. Of anything. Oh, and here’s my blog link:

I dye mine, to try to get back to my natural color. But in between, those stubborn ones at the temples keep appearing. They’re the hardest to get, even when you do dye.

never dye just rinse – until you can do low lights instead of highlights
